Library Systems & Services LLC is Hiring a Library associate Near Highgrove, CA

The Highgrove Library is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time (20 hour per week) Library Associate 2 to join our team.

As a Library Associate 2, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our library. You will be responsible for assisting patrons with various library services, organizing and maintaining library materials, and providing excellent customer service.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the community and make a positive impact through library services. This position cooperates with other staff members to meet the needs of the public, community, and the library.

Hours vary and can include days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patrons with locating and borrowing library materials
  • Provide information and guidance to patrons regarding library services and resources
  • Process library materials, including checking them in and out
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of library transactions
  • Shelve and organize library materials
  • Assist with library programs and events
  • Collaborate with library staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Adhere to library policies and procedures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Outstanding organizational skills, ability to multitask
  • Attention to detail and good problem-solving ability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed

Physical Requirements :

  • Must be able to move from place to place within the location; push / pull, hold / carry of items weighing up to (25) pounds and occasionally up to (35) pounds such as files, books, stacks of paper, and other materials.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time and to maintain focus on projects such as computer screens or detailed paperwork.
