Purpose
The Technician in Training position will be trained to achieve Operator Qualifications (OQs) in order to take on formal "Technician I" responsibilities for construction and maintenance field activities associated with Liberty’s natural gas distribution systems and facilities.
Training period is paid, and training program is typically 6 - 12 month to achieve qualifications to be promoted to Technician I.
The speed in which these qualifications are met are dependent on current skillset and learning curve.
Accountabilities
Trained to perform Line Locate, Read, Maps, locate underground natural gas lines, operate combustible natural gas indications and flaming ionization units.
Performs such work in accordance with Company, regulatory and safety procedures
This position will work alongside a C&M Technicians and Crew Lead to learn and perform activities of a C&M Technician I.
Training and Certification to do Plastic Fusion
Must obtain competent person certificate
