Job Description Summary
The role of the Photo / Archivist is to bring to life the ideas of the section editors through the images taken and chosen of the paper each week.
The Photo / Archivist must take the given instructions from the section editors and help find or create the best visually support for the Champion style and theme.
Photo / Archivist gain experience in working with the editors and photographers to creatively produce weekly pages. Maintain regular business office hours to provide availability and interaction with students either in person or over Microsoft Teams as directed by their supervisor / chair / dean.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Student will supervise work from DIGI 487 Field Projects and Practica class and CSER volunteers. Student will work with creative team of editorial staff, copy editors and design to develop the final product.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
This position is generally filled by someone with a journalism major or photography major but not always. The person must have a strong ability to see the image needed to tell the story.

In the office, the working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled setting.
It is well lighted, and the noise level is moderate.
Working environment also includes attending and shooting of events outdoors occasionally. Will need to dress appropriately.
Position requires 20 hours per week.
Driving Requirements
Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position.
Proof of a valid driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
