Position: Diesel Mechanic

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour 

Report to: Shop Manager 

Department: Shop 

Shift: Day Shift (Full-Time) 

Schedule: 7:00am- 4:30pm 

Monday - Friday (Weekends as needed) 

Liberty Tire Recycling is the premier provider of tire recycling services in the United States. Our Salt Lake City, Utah facility is looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our team!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• May be responsible for performing a combination of the following duties based upon job assignment: 
• Servicing semi-trucks and trailers. 

• Have knowledge of electrical repair and preventative maintenance. 
• Work safely and cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors. 
• Must be self-motivated to complete an assignment. 
• Requires climbing, standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects in awkward and confined spaces using proper lifting and rigging techniques. 
• Subject to working near moving parts of heavy machinery and high voltage equipment where the use of appropriate protective/safety equipment is required. 

• Work includes indoor and outdoor environments.

Education/Skills/Experience 

• Minimum of three years of related experience.
• DOT inspection license for tractor, trailer, and bus. (Not required, but preferred)
