Position Summary:

This position will be responsible for providing the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of crumb plant machinery.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Processing/Operations: Responsible for the alignment, adjustment, maintenance and repair of processing equipment and heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain grinders, compressors, various styles of conveyors and other electro-mechanical systems. Apply knowledge of machinery and tools, including welding equipment, digital volt meters and other similar industrial equipment.
• Preventive Maintenance: Maintain plant equipment; perform predictive maintenance functions including testing, inspection, and lubrication of moving equipment. Understand and follow a work order maintenance system.
• Support the installation of new equipment including wiring, platforms, shredders, and other process/safety equipment.
• Adhere to Health & Safety compliance in accordance with company policy.
• Inventory tool supply and maintain shop cleanness.
• Provide leadership to machine operators as needed.
• Establish, maintain, and promote high standards of customer service.
• Metal fabrication using cutting torch, plasma cutter, welder, and other power tools.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA procedures and practices.
• Complete paperwork on work orders and PM checklists, recording all repairs made and any parts used.
• Perform safety inspection on machine guarding, fire prevention equipment, etc.
• Operate a forklift, man lift, and other mobile equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience):

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understand and follow all OSHA and site-specific safety programs.
• MUST HAVE 2-4 years of experience working with heavy equipment, production in a manufacturing plant, and processing equipment.
• Ability to work in a LOUD, dirty, dusty, muddy, HOT or COLD, changing environment both inside and outside in all weather extremes and seasons.
• Welding certification is preferred but not required
• Proven success delivering results through people.
• Ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting work priorities and direction to ensure resources and focus on the highest value work.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair minor to moderate electrical and mechanical issues.
• MUST HAVE STRONG Mechanical Aptitude

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling of controls, turning, climbing to a significant degree
• Heavy Work: Exerting 100 pounds of force occasionally
• Exerting 25 – 50 pounds of force frequently
• Exerting 10 – 20 pounds of force continually

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour
