JOB TITLE: Thrift Facilities Manager 

REPORTS TO: RETAIL SUPPORT MANAGER

MISSION STATEMENT:

Liberty Ministries exists to serve offenders in prison and ex-offenders in the community by showing God’s love, providing practical assistance, and supporting Biblical standards of justice.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Facilities Manager for Liberty Ministries Thrift is responsible for assessing, maintenance and special projects for all Liberty Ministries Thrift properties and facilities. The Facilities Manager needs to be a friendly smiling face that customers see when they enter the store; he/she is an ambassador for the store and the ministry.

PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONS:

  1. Prioritize and schedule work order requests, along with the Retail Support Manager, from the six stores and two thrift centers. 

  2. Maintain a facilities calendar on Google Calendar. 

  3. Responsible for all tools, supplies and machinery needed to complete maintenance projects. 

  4. Scheduled monthly walkthroughs of all locations identifying specific store maintenance needs. 

  5. Responsible for procuring the necessary supplies to accomplish projects. 

  6. Take on special projects at the stores.

  7. Reliable transportation to the six work sites. Based out of the Montgomeryville location

  8. Understand and demonstrate the proper use of safety practices & ensure standards are maintained for the department. 

  9. Accomplishes organization mission by completing related assignments as needed.

  10. Is accountable for all spending done with the Liberty Ministries credit card. Expenses exceeding $100 must be approved by the Retail Support Manager prior to purchase.

  11. This is a salaried position with a minimum of 40 hours required per week. 

  12. Other assignments as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  1. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  2. Knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment.

  3. Ability to do repairs, construct and provide general maintenance. 

  4. Excellent customer service skills i.e. ability to communicate positively and consistently with the customer, co-workers and supervisor; delivering professional consistent results

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must be friendly, personable and customer service focused with good discernment on proper customer interaction.

  2. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, push, pull, and lift to 30-50 pounds and stand for an extended period of time.

  3. Must be able to communicate clearly in English, including reading, writing and counting.

  4. Must be supportive of working for a Christian Ministry, accepting the Mission Statements of Liberty Thrift and Liberty Ministries and represent Liberty Ministries well.

  5. Must be willing and able to function in many capacities as needed.

  6. Must take direction well and show initiative.

  7. Be neat in appearance and practice good hygiene.
