Employment Specialists support individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities to develop and use specific job and work skills to fulfill their potential. Our Employment Specialists are the champions that connect people to jobs with the employers who best match their interests. To be successful, will need to be creative, have excellent people skills, superior organizational talents, lots of energy, and a contagiously positive attitude. 

Qualifications


  • Experience with job coaching or similar supports. 
  • Skill in locating and accessing job resources. 
  • Skill to complete satisfactorily: Medication Certification First Aid/CPR, and other requirements associated with orientation. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team. 
  • Ability to make decisions and exercise good judgment. 
  • Want to learn and grow professionally 
  • Ability to carry out the physical requirements of this position which include but are not limited to Lifting up to 50 pounds several times per shift as needed, ascending and descending stairs several times per shift, sitting, standing, and walking for periods of time throughout a shift as needed 
  • High School Diploma or GED/HSED required. 
  • Valid driver’s license required. 
  • Reliable transportation during work hours. 
  • Satisfactory criminal history check.
