The head junior varsity coach reports directly to the head coach and has the primary responsibility for assisting in the planning, training, and coordination for high-school student-athletes, in cooperation with the coaching staff. Applicants should be dedicated to providing the best student-athlete experience. The successful candidate will be committed to the mission and goals of Liberty Common High School and follow all CHSAA procedures and policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma; associates degree or greater is preferred.
• Experience working with K-12 students preferred.

Job Duties:

• Working with student-athletes to develop skills, knowledge, and virtues in soccer.
• Communicating with parents, officials, athletes, and coaches.
• Working with coaching staff to implement training and game plans.

Job Requirements:

• Technically knowledge of soccer and experience working with student-athletes.
• Experience scheduling, planning, and coordinating activities for a wide range of constituents.
• A proven, verifiable record of placing appropriate emphasis on academic excellence, good sportsmanship, and character development.
• A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, coaches, and administration.
• Full background check required for hire.
• CPR and first aid certified or able to obtain upon hire.

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to move safely in athletic workspaces;
• The ability to lift 30 pounds or more when needed.

Compensation:

• Stipends follow Poudre School District coaching pay schedule – starting at $2,424.00 (possibly higher based on background, experience, and/or institutional alignment).
• Enrollment in Colorado’s Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) and employer contributions to your PERA retirement account.
• Earned sick leave in accordance with Colorado’s Healthy Families and Workplaces (HFWA) Act.
