This is a Contractor Role Job Summary
As a Behavioral Science Expert in the Engineer Group 3 OASIS Labor Category, your role will be pivotal in shaping our understanding of the homeland defense operational environment out to 2040. Collaborating closely with U.S Army North (USARNORTH), U.S Special Operations Command - North, and the United States Special Operations Command, you will plan, develop, and execute workshops on behavioral science issues relevant to defense operations. Your insights will also contribute to the creation of academic publications and presentations aimed at Department of Defense senior leaders. This position demands an advanced academic background in behavioral sciences, a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively on interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
Plan, develop, and execute monthly workshops related to behavioral science in partnership with DoD entities.
Research and analyze human behavior patterns and their implications for homeland defense operations.
Contribute to the development of academic publications and research focused on behavioral science in the context of homeland defense.
Prepare and present findings to senior leaders within the Department of Defense.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including cybersecurity experts, engineers, and military personnel.
Assist in obtaining grants or other funding related to behavioral science research and applications in defense settings.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Psychology, Behavioral Science, Sociology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in behavioral science research or practice, preferably in a defense setting.
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
SECRET clearance
All SMEs must be available onsite for 7 out of 9 events and able to conduct some work pre and post-events (answer questions, help with publications, etc.)
