Job Title: High School Vocal Music Teacher
Job Summary:
The High School Vocal Music Teacher and Musical Theatre Director is responsible for leading and managing the vocal music program at the high school level. This multifaceted role involves teaching four different choir groups, co-teaching musical theatre productions, directing vocal music for theatrical performances, organizing and participating in various events within and outside the school community, and overseeing participation in KMEA and KSHSAA district and state vocal events. The incumbent will inspire students to develop their vocal talents, foster a love for music, and uphold high standards of artistic excellence.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Education, Vocal Performance, or related field.
- Valid teaching certification/license in music education (preferably at the high school level).
- Demonstrated proficiency in vocal music instruction, conducting, and performance.
- Experience teaching and directing choirs and/or musical theatre productions in a school or community setting.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, colleagues, parents, and community members.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that values diversity and equity.
- Knowledge of KMEA and KSHSAA guidelines and requirements for participation in district and state vocal events.
- Passion for music education and a dedication to inspiring students to achieve excellence in vocal music.
