Apex Plant - NOW HIRING

This program focus on a learning opportunity for early in career students to be introduced to a strong working environment in mining and manufacturing.

The goal is to create a summer program where family members of Lhoist employees or other candidates can work during the summer months.

This opportunity provides experience in the mining industry and shows our candidate and community the benefits all around the world.

We, as Lhoist employees, know the importance of our industry in our everyday lives and the value of working safely. We are looking to continue building for our future at Lhoist and grow the legacy of working for a great organization for years to come.

Minimum Requirements :

Must be at least 18 years old.

Opportunities throughout the Plant :

• Various lab tasks such as drill chips, participate in identified clean-up projects such as 5S projects, assist in cleaning and organizing part and spares, and provide support in tagging unmarked equipment.
• Learn good safety & housekeeping practices.
• Gain mining and manufacturing industry knowledge.
• Future internship possibilities.

Starting on or around : 6 / 3 / 24 - 8 / 31 / 24.

Pay Rate : $20.00

Safe Quality Food (SQF)

• Ensure a SQF workplace and follow regulatory compliance with Federal FDA Food Modernization Safety Act (CFR Code of Federal Regulations Title 21, Part 507).
• Be a leader and promoter of employee safety and SQF culture.
• Following completion of SQF training, demonstrate understanding of expected safety, SQF performance and Food Safety Culture.
• Complete periodic SQF training(s).
• Each site location will ensure training is conducted for new employees and continued for existing employees.
• Employees will actively participate in audits for regulatory, safety, SQF and environmental compliance at the site.
