LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Trademark Paralegal for an Am Law firm in DC. This role will play a crucial role in assisting attorneys and trademark agents in managing trademark-related legal matters. The Paralegal will provide support to attorneys and trademark agents in all aspects of trademark prosecution and management. This opportunity is full time, and hybrid.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct trademark searches to assess the availability of trademarks

• Assist in preparing and filing trademark applications with the relevant authorities

• Manage trademark portfolios, including maintaining accurate records and deadlines

• Communicate with clients regarding trademark matters, including status updates and document requests

• Correspond with trademark examiners and government agencies regarding application status and requirements

• Assist in drafting responses to office actions and other trademark-related correspondence

• Coordinate with outside counsel and agents for international trademark filings and maintenance

• Conduct trademark watch services to monitor for potential infringements

• Assist attorneys in trademark enforcement efforts, including drafting cease and desist letters and gathering evidence of infringement

• Assist in trademark litigation matters, including discovery, document management, and trial preparation

• Stay updated on changes in trademark law and procedures

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field

• Paralegal certification preferred

• 3 years’ experience working as a trademark paralegal or in a related role

• Strong knowledge of trademark law and procedures

• Proficiency in conducting trademark searches using online databases

• Proficiency in legal research and document drafting

• Experience with trademark docketing software preferred

Benefits:
This posting is a representative sample of the roles we typically place with our clients in Washington, DC. Depending on the specific client, location within the state and role, the salary range is estimated to be $85,000 to $125,000 and benefits may include PTO, health, vision, and dental insurance. 

Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $125,000.00 per year
