As a Tax Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting tax compliance, provision, and other projects related to tax. Responsibilities:
Prepare and review state and foreign tax returns including VAT returns, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and deadlines.
Assist in the preparation and review of federal income tax returns in collaboration with third-party tax advisors.
Utilize strong Partnership taxation experience to calculate estimated earnings and quarterly distributions.
Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax returns.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and supporting documentation.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements, and assess their impact on the company's tax position.
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of effective tax strategies, optimizing tax savings and minimizing risk.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies related to tax processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, or a related field. CPA required.
Minimum of three years of experience in tax, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
Proficiency in software such as CorpTax and MS Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong knowledge of broad tax regulations including global tax practices desired.
Salary: $100,000 - $115,000
Work Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week (some overtime may be required during budgeting and at quarter-end)
Location: Washington, DC hybrid 3 days per week in office, two days remote
Employment Type: Full-time direct hire/permanent
