Summary :

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate compensation to employees while complying with relevant laws and company policies.

This role involves handling payroll inquiries, calculating wages, managing tax withholdings, and maintaining payroll records.

The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and a comprehensive understanding of payroll procedures.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for employees accurately and on time using payroll software.
  • Calculate and enter wage and hour data, including new hires, terminations, bonuses, commissions, and other adjustments.
  • Verify and reconcile timekeeping records and address any discrepancies or issues.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and facilitate tax filings.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management promptly and professionally.
  • Administer and manage employee benefits deductions, including healthcare, retirement plans, and other deductions.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records and employee information.
  • Assist in audits and other compliance-related activities related to payroll.
  • Stay updated on payroll best practices and changes in regulations to ensure compliance.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience (1 year) working in payroll administration or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax laws, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with employees and management.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.

Details :

  • Employment type : Contract to Hire
  • Compensation : $20-22 / hr
  • Work hours : 8 : 00 am 5 : 00 pm
