Medical Front Office Coordinator

Location : Avon, IN

Job Type : Full Time

Hours : Monday - Friday 8AM- 4 : 30PM / 5PM

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our clients medical practice as a Front Office Coordinator.

As the first point of contact for patients, the Front Office Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring excellent patient experiences and smooth operations within the medical office.

The ideal candidate should possess exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

1. Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor.

2. Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently using the electronic medical records (EMR) system.

3. Verify patient demographic and insurance information during check-in and update records as necessary.

4. Answer phone calls promptly and handle inquiries, directing calls to appropriate staff members when necessary.

5. Collect co-payments, process payments, and issue receipts.

6. Manage patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

7. Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely patient flow and minimize wait times.

8. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and faxing documents.

9. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front office area.

10. Collaborate with other office staff to address patient concerns and resolve issues effectively.

11. Assist in ordering and maintaining office supplies and equipment.

12. Stay updated on medical office policies, procedures, and insurance regulations.

Requirements :

1. High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in medical office administration preferred.

2. Previous experience working in a medical office setting, preferably in a front office or receptionist role.

3. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.

4. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors.

5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

6. Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

7. Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and billing processes.

8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

9. Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and willingness to collaborate with a diverse team.

10. Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
