We are seeking a talented junior-mid level experienced data engineer for a mid-large company in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be passionate about leveraging data to solve complex problems and drive business value. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to support various business functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement data solutions.
- Optimize data infrastructure and processes for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of data systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform data modeling and database management tasks to support analytical initiatives.
- Implement DevOps best practices for continuous integration and deployment.
- Utilize Git for version control and collaborative development.
- Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Develop scripts and applications in Python to automate tasks and enhance data workflows.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of professional experience in data engineering or a related role.
- 3 years of experience with Snowflake data platform.
- Experience with cloud data technologies, particularly AWS (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, AWS Glue).
- Proficiency in DevOps principles and practices.
- Strong command of Git for version control and collaborative development.
- Expertise in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and application development.
- Experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with big data frameworks and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
