Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Controller to join our client. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities within the plant facility, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in manufacturing leadership and be capable of providing strategic financial guidance to support business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the plant.
• Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide insightful commentary on financial performance, identifying key drivers and trends.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Collaborate with plant management to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor budgetary performance and variance analysis, identifying areas for improvement.
• Provide recommendations to optimize resource allocation and drive cost efficiencies.

Financial Controls:

• Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate risks.
• Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Recommend improvements to enhance financial transparency and accountability.

Business Partnering:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational decision-making.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to assist in strategic planning initiatives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to plant management, offering guidance on financial matters.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and cost accounting methodologies.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
