Business Development Executive

SUMMARY

We are seeking a Business Development Executive who will identify and close new sales to support our long-term growth initiatives and expand our market presence.

We are looking for a key individual who will play an important role in our future growth. The individual will serve as the primary team member responsible for growing our base of selected new customers. It includes the planning, implementation, and execution of sales campaigns, as well as promoting the company with important referral partners. It is critical for the Rep to be a “self-starting hunter” in this role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop a target list of prospective customers based on our ideal profile.
  • Assist with prospective sales presentations, quotes and request for proposals as needed.
  • Segment the majority of time performing “top of the funnel” actions.
  • Align our services to the potential customer’s business needs, challenges, and requirements (a consultative sales approach).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills: asking questions, writing, and presenting
  • Handling of all prospect/customer lifecycle from prospecting to initial discovery, through SOW/Proposal development, and closing.
  • Follow the company selling process and learn techniques to overcome objections, gain access to key decision makers, and move opportunities from leads to prospects while building a pipeline.
  • Along with sales, revenue, and expense controls, the candidate is also responsible for meeting agreed targets and sales metrics per month, quarter, and year.
  • Contribute and report personal sales metrics in the weekly sales team meetings.
  • Manage the sales administration functions that include opportunity/deal tracking using CRM for smooth flow of deals to client approval.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Prefer candidate to be located in the Kansas City area.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 3 years successful experience as a direct contributor w/ an individual quota.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding assigned goals and targets.
  • Experience in working in the commercial real estate business is preferred .
  • Ability to demonstrate and effective prospecting discipline and experience that includes phone, email, and LinkedIn, and document prospecting efforts in CRM
  • Experience managing and directing the entire sales cycle.
  • Candidate will be strategic in finding new business using technical knowledge and skillset.
  • Creation and execution of quarterly and annual business plans.
  • Good presence, communication skills, and credibility.
  • Attentive to forecasting and business reporting responsibilities.
  • At least an intermediate level in using Microsoft Office products.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This job will be performed in an office setting.
  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
  • Travel up to 25% is expected

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Base salary: $65,000 to $75,000 based on experience
  • Commission on sales: ~$50,000 at goal
  • Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, disability coverage, 401k
