Accountant
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an educational company in Tempe. This organization is looking to add an accountant to their small team. This job is fully on site for the first several months. Once you are trained and ramped up, you will be allowed to work from home one day a week. The scheduled for this job is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Salary range is between $75,000-$85,000.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in General Ledger accounting and month-end processes. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting requirements.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Participate in audits and provide documentation as needed.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in GL accounting and month-end close processes.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP). Experience with Great Plains is a huge plus!
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
