Compensation: $72,000 to $73,000 annual

Job Description:
- Assists in compiling the quarterly financial report for the Board and external stakeholders, encompassing financial data, performance metrics, narratives of business occurrences, and discrepancies, among others.
- Attends routine meetings with business units to review outstanding invoices and engages in discussions with staff regarding departmental reports.
- Offers consultation and recommendations to operational management, providing progress updates to Financial Management.
- Creates tailored schedules to aid in monitoring specific general ledger accounts for financial supervisors.
- Maintains an efficient internal control framework to ensure accurate data collection and reporting..
- Assists in preparing audit schedules at year-end, including financial data, footnotes, and supplementary/statistical schedules.
- Prepares standard, ad-hoc, and one-time journal entries and conducts account reconciliations for management review.
- Convenes with management and staff to address discrepancies, propose alterations, and establish protocols, as necessary.
- Conducts monthly reviews of assigned cost center reports for accuracy and variances compared to budgeted amounts for the current period and year-to-date balances.
- Ensures adherence to financial obligations outlined in contracts with third parties.
- Reviews contracts as needed, potentially engaging with third parties and legal personnel, and makes recommendations.
- Participates in the recruitment process and assists in the training, cross-training, and evaluation of staff as directed by management.
Qualifications:
- 5 years within Accounting preferred
- Bachelor's degree within Accounting preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), and Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB) directives and interpretations.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and Oracle is helpful
