Loews Coral Gables Hotel features 242 guestrooms, including 23 beautifully designed suites, 30,0000 square feet of indoor/outdoor flexible meeting space, an expansive 9th floor pool deck, four Miami-inspired dining outlets and more. Located just four blocks from the Gables' iconic Miracle Mile, the hotel is the centerpiece of The Plaza Coral Gables, a 2.1 million square foot mixed-use development showcasing retail space, dining and entertainment experiences. Loews Coral Gables Hotel is the second Loews Hotel to open in South Florida, joining 25 other properties across the US and Canada that make up the Loews Hotels & Co portfolio. Responsible for the maintenance, serving and sanitation of the Team Member dining room. Responsible for all aspects of service by ordering, serving and replenishing food on café line, stocking all service areas (Both F&B and serving utensils) and maintaining adequate supplies during meal period, cleaning and presetting all tables; transportation of dining utensils and serving dishes to and from kitchen, cleaning of all public areas. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Stocks and maintains steam table, cold lines, beverage station and all other serving stations Orders, Stocks, Replenishes all food, beverage and dry goods needed for service Stocks and maintains supplies in all service areas Assures that all food is maintained at appropriate temperatures Assures that all food is stored in the appropriate sanitary condition Assures that all equipment is kept clean and kept in a sanitary condition Inspects and prepares all service ware prior to use Assists in clearing soiled plates, service ware etc. from service areas and tables to dish wash area Maintains breakdown station and transports dining equipment to and from kitchen Greets guests and serves the hot food from steam table Maintains and cleans tables in dining room Maintains cleanliness and sanitary condition of dining room and service areas Assists in completion of post meal clean up and side work duties Assists in employee related events held in Bert’s Bistro Completes requisition forms for storeroom and warehouse items. Monthly inventory of all silverware, plates, trays, etc. Other duties as assigned Supportive Functions and Responsibilities Promotes and applies teamwork skill at all times Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance Is polite, friendly, and helpful to all guests, management and fellow employees Attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards Complies with required safety regulations and procedures Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules Remains current with hotel information and changes Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards Qualifications Ability to walk, stand stoop, bend, lift and carry trays weighing 35 pounds repetitively during entire shift Excellent guest service skills Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays High School diploma or equivalent preferred Headquartered in New York City, Loews Hotels & Co is rooted in deep heritage in the hotel industry and excellence in service.
