LGC’s Clinical Diagnostics Division develops and manufactures a comprehensive portfolio of catalog and custom-developed diagnostic quality solutions and component materials for the extended life sciences industry. The Material Handler I/II provides support for the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of LGC Clinical Diagnostics products by cGMP and pre-established guidelines and procedures. They apply a high level of attention to detail to satisfy both internal and external customers. Overall work priorities are defined and assigned by the immediate supervisor, but a degree of flexibility and self-prioritization is exercised to achieve day-to-day tasks. Work at this level is typically performed under supervision from the Supervisor. The position assists with identifying process improvements to procedures. Material handling is a service for customers in the Operations, Quality Control, Research & Development, and Quality Assurance departments as well as supplying to serving our customers through order fulfillment. The Material Handler II will be a user of SAP to handle and maintain accurate material inventory information. Participates in housekeeping of areas i.e. loading dock, receiving location, storage areas, etc. This position may require, a holiday, weekend, or duty to meet business needs.
