LGC is Hiring an Inventory Lead Coordinator Near Petaluma, CA

LGC Genomics locations Petaluma and Novato, CA, as well as our sister site in Denmark, represent a focused, collaborative culture of producing mission-critical genomics components, primarily oligonucleotides and supporting reagents, for our diverse customer base. Position Summary: The Inventory Lead Coordinator is an individual delegated to personally handling material inventories and relevant warehouse operations in the Novato (primary) and Petaluma (secondary) facilities, to include assigned projects of addressing and further developing the growing needs of LGC Biosearch’s supply chain management and organization therein.

Areas of Responsibility:

While guidance would come from direct management, the Inventory Lead Coordinator would also work independently, focusing on tasks involving Biosearch’s warehouses and supply chain management.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitors stockroom inventory and places ordering requests as necessary, adhering to LEAN inventory management practices.
  • Responsible for developing inventory tracking systems, reviewing levels of supplies, and performing a regular analysis.
  • Assist management in recognizing areas of opportunity in all daily processes and products, and to help develop more efficient and/or accurate improvements.
  • Work daily with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Production, Receiving, and Operations.
  • Assists to maintain the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the warehouse and production floor inventory shelving areas to meet service and OSHA standards.
  • Ensures that relevant equipment is utilized and maintained in the most efficient manner.
  • Maintains a professional and courteous relationship with both internal & external customers.
  • Shelf organization and appearance maintenance of the warehouse
  • Stocking inventory to their assigned locations
  • Assisting to develop supply chain methods
  • Management of direct reports to include interviewing, training, and delegation.
  • Reports to Shipping / Receiving / Inventory Management.

  • Communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to work independently; self-starter
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Able to lift 40lbs.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education/Experience:

  • 3 years of inventory management
  • HS degree or similar
  • Staff management a bonus

Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Access use a bonus
  • Use of a web browser.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Computer Skills:

Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools. FMP and/or IFS a plus
