Job Description

The Product Dispensing and Assembly Technician actively supports all aspects of dispensing product and assembly aspects of the company's production activities.This individual will be responsible for using a repeat pipette, hand pipette, a peristaltic pump, and assembling product kits for finished goods inventory in accordance with the organization's ISO 13485 quality systems. This individual also may assist in serving as back-up support for inventory needs.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential functions satisfactorily.

  • Assemble kit products, manually and with automated equipment, under supervisor’s guidance following SOP’s, written instructions, and assembly Kanban processes that meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements
  • Dispense, fill and package products under supervisor’s guidance following SOP’s and written instructions that meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure production supplies and inventory are properly labeled and stored
  • Accurately print and apply labels to packaging materials, manually and with automated equipment
  • Ensure final products are stored in the appropriate temperature locations
  • Participate in physical inventory activities, such as routine cycle counts, to maintain inventory integrity
  • Support other operational functions as needed
  • Conscientiously learn requirements of the ISO 13485 quality management system and diligently follow the terms of a quality contract, which describes the relevance and importance of the employee’s work to the achievement of LGC-Lucigen’s quality objectives
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent degree
  • Proven reliable work ethic, with the ability to follow detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to effectively meet production needs
  • Ability to learn and effectively operate certain types of automated equipment for product assembly and dispensing
  • Must be highly accurate and detail-oriented
  • Ability to gather and organize information
  • Industry experience in life sciences, biotechnology, or manufacturing organization preferred
  • First-hand experience with aseptic technique preferred
  • Strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
