Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
- Conduct site visits to assess project scope and identify potential risks or challenges.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to perform quantity takeoffs and cost calculations.
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that include labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Review and analyze subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and related documentation.
- Assist in the development of project budgets and schedules.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, materials, and methods.
- Proficient in using Microsfot Word and Excel software and tools.
- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred experience:
- Experience with Xactimate or similar estimating software.
- Bilingual
