Some of the Day-to-Day Duties

• Reviews body shop/collision center estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
• Receives and records parts from vendors.
• Pulls purchased parts from stock.
• Follows-up on back-ordered parts.
• Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.
• Issues credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.
• Assures delivery of parts to the service technicians as soon as possible.
• Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
• Answers phone calls, providing price quotes, handling telephone orders and other information.
• Follows-up on parts to ensure that all customers have been served.
• Maintains parts and stock in a clean and orderly condition, keeping front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
