About the role:
Boston Scientific is seeking a highly motivated and talented engineer to join our Capacitors team. You will have the opportunity to support product and process development from concept to commercial. You will be partnering cross-functionally with a technically strong, experienced, and highly engaged team. The successful candidate for this position will be self-motivated, technically strong, excited to motivate and lead others, and drive ownership to challenging process development opportunities.
In this role the candidate will work cross-functionally to develop capable processes and technologies on new products and ensures efficient and effective transfer of product into production.

• Key deliverables may include being process owner.
• In this role you will work directly with the capacitors team to develop, improve, and validate processes.
• The candidate may qualify equipment and/or tooling, create equipment recipes, collect & assess the data, and communicate the results to your team.
• The successful candidate for this position will provide strong leadership and problem solving to enable medical device innovation.
• Use your technical and collaboration skills alongside your passion for innovation and continuous improvement to drive growth through efficient and effective commercialization of new products and targeted improvements.

This is a hybrid position based in Arden Hills, MN with the expectation to be on-site four days.
Your responsibilities include:

• Applies technical knowledge to innovate, design & develop processes and advance tooling and/or automation.
• Assesses process capabilities, prioritizes process improvement opportunities, and innovates and implements process improvements on multiple and moderately complex processes.
• Develops, writes, & reviews process validation strategy and related deliverables to meet quality system requirements (e.g., Experiment tech reports, GR&R, TMV, IQ, PRAs, etc.)
• Executes the functional deliverables associated with the PDP/TDP, Project Management, and Quality Systems.
• Develops experimental strategy and presents technical data and recommendations at technical reviews.
• Works cross functionally to lead, own, develop, & deliver capable and robust processes and equipment to operations.
• Oversees development builds associated with the project using special work requests.
• May serve as core team member or extended team member on new product projects.

Minimum qualifications:

• BS in Engineering related field and 2 years of experience post education in an engineering role.
• Experience with Process Verification and Validation
• Demonstrated engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills.

Preferred qualifications:

• Excels in a collaborative, cross-functional, cross-site environment.
• Expertise in New Product Development
• Fixture and equipment design or trouble shooting experience (CAD experience not required).
• Medical device or other regulated industry experience.
