SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Facilities Manager and is responsible for daily supervision and leadership of the Maintenance Technicians. The Supervisor is responsible for coordinating work with clinical staff, contractors and facilities maintenance staff to ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the buildings and equipment is completed in a professional, timely and safe manner.
The Supervisor ensures communication is ongoing with clinical staff, contractors and facilities maintenance staff before, during and after work is completed. The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical and related systems and will provide assistance and training to the facilities staff as needed in support of the Lexington Clinic.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The Supervisor will have sufficient experience in facilities maintenance and 3 years of supervisory experience preferably in a health care environment. The Supervisor should have a solid understanding of federal, state, and local codes including knowledge of regulatory codes for the healthcare environment. Will also be able to read and understand building design drawings, electrical, mechanical and secondary support equipment schematics.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:
Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day.
