SUMMARY:
The CT Technologist, under general supervision of the Director, Radiology, assists the Radiologist in performing diagnostic procedures for
patients by means of computerized tomography; and works effectively with patients and other clinic personnel.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Formal training which will probably be indicated by graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology; current state licensure from the Kentucky Department of Human Resources/Radiation Control Branch; successful completion of ARRT registry examination for CT; current CPR certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years experience in CT
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES:
Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day; assist patients in turning; assist patients in lying down on and arising from the table safely; push wheelchair patients; assist patients in arising from and returning to wheelchair safely; move, lift and position materials weighing up to 20 pounds; exposure to hazardous materials; manual dexterity and motor coordination; visual and auditory acuity.
