Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily tasks and activities as directed by the supervisor
- Provide support to individuals with autism in various settings, such as home, school, or community
- Implement behavior support plans and strategies to promote positive behavior
- Assist with personal care tasks, including toileting, grooming, and hygiene
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining social skills
- Help individuals with meal preparation and feeding, if needed
- Administer first aid and medication as required
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and work with individuals with autism and their families
- Ability to lift and assist individuals as needed
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and understanding of the unique needs of individuals with autism
- Experience in social work, childcare, nursing, or related field is preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for transportation needs
