Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a special education paraprofessional for the 2024-25 school year. Must be willing and able to support elementary aged students who have Autism in a highly structured program and setting. Candidates should be a flexible team player with the genuine desire to work with children, and able to assist in small group activities or work one-on-one to follow the educational support plans for the students.
This is a part- time position, working on all student contact days plus some professional development days determined by the principal. The starting hourly wage for this position is $19.15-$20.71 depending on previous experience. A higher starting wage rate may be granted to applicants who hold one of the following: a current Colorado educator's license, bachelor’s degree, RBT certification, CNA license or RMA/CMA certificate. This position is part- time, 3.75 hrs per day, mornings. Applications will be reviewed as they are received. This position will remain open until filled.
This position is eligible for a $500 bonus- to be paid after 90 days.
All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA. Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and a life insurance. Lewis-Palmer does provide one plan that is of no cost to the individual. However, employees may choose from a selection of plans that include coverage additional options for individuals, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and family plans. Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law.
