Lewis-Palmer School District 38, located in Monument, CO, is looking for a 6th Grade Teacher at Palmer Lake Elementary School beginning with the 2024-2025 school year. Must have, or be eligible to receive a Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsement. The successful candidate should have a passion for teaching elementary/middle school students, strong teaming/collaboration skills as teachers share students, good communication skills, and be successful with classroom mangaement and building relationship with their students. Candidates with previous experience in the following curriculums are preferred, but not required: ELA and Social Studies. This position is full-time with full benefits. Start date for Teachers is August 2, 2024. Students start August 14, 2024.
Exact placement on the pay schedule will be determined by the Director of Human Resources upon contracting. This pay range is based on education and experience levels with a range of $44,000-$71,866. As a guideline, we offer up to 16 years of previous contractual teaching experience for a placement of Step 17, per school board policy. The current teacher pay schedule can be found on our website. Applications will be reviewed as they are received. This position will remain open until filled.

Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and a life insurance. Lewis-Palmer does provide one plan that is of no cost to the individual. However, employees may choose from a selection of plans that include coverage additional options for individuals, employee plus spouse, employee plus children, and family plans. All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA. Paid leave is accrued in accordance with District policies and afforded to all persons in accordance with Colorado law.
