We are looking for a Preschool Assistant Group Leader for the 2022-2023 school year. The position is at the the Palmer Lake Early Childhood Center in Monument, CO. The Preschool Assistant is responsible for supporting teachers in planning and implementing safe, healthy, high-quality learning experiences for children 3 to 5 years old. We are looking for someone who is a friendly, energetic, nurturing, and patient team player with a great love for children. Good communication skills are important in this position, and previous experience in preschool is preferred. Preferred candidates meet the requirements set by the Department of Human Services (DHS) for Assistant Group Leader by completing an early childhood education course with a grade of "C" or better as well as having accumulated 12 months of verified experience in the care and supervision of at least 4 children less than six-years old who are non-relatives. Along with the application and resume, please provide proof of course requirement and letters from previous employers to prove experience. This is position is Monday - Thursday, 8:00 - 4:00. The starting pay for this position is not negotiable, but between $14.00 to $15.52 depending on previous experience. All employees are eligible for participation in the Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account, PERA. This position qualifies for benefits. Full-time employees, employed at least thirty hours per week, of Lewis-Palmer School District are eligible for health insurance plans that include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
