Levy Restaurants is Hiring a GENERAL MANAGER @ BASSETT HOUND (NRO) Near Minneapolis, MN

Join the Levy Management team as a General Manager at our brand new restaurant!

In the heart of the North Loop and adjacent to Target Field, Bassett Hound is where family, friends, neighbors and tourists gather to experience the neighborhood beyond the ballpark. Bassett Hound features a one-acre park with year-round programs & events for the community. Bassett Hound will feature local craft beers with a full bar with craft cocktails. The chef driven menu will providing Charcuterie, Flatbreads and assortment of Paninis and Salads.

Job Summary

As the General Manager of Bassett Hound, you will be responsible for leading your team members in executing The Levy Difference regarding operations, human resources, and financials. From hiring, training, and developing team members to ensuring that all costs are met, and quality show standards are.
Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Maintain positive guest relations by obtaining regular feedback through table visits and executing show quality standards
  • Promotes a positive work environment through hiring/selection of team members, maximizing productivity and morale through team member engagement, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels per business needs
  • Holds team accountable to steps of service to deliver great guest service
  • Ensures team members have the tools necessary to complete their jobs
  • Ensures team members adhere to Levy guidelines as stated in the team member training manual and employee handbook
  • Ensures that daily walkthroughs are being conducted in both FOH and BOH for every event
  • Achieves assigned budget goals
  • Provides operational planning to ensure adequate products and equipment are ordered for anticipated business levels
  • Forecasts and adequately schedules team members to meet operational needs and desired targets
  • Uses all performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team
  • Displays a positive attitude towards team members
  • Ensures show quality standards are always maintained
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, guests, subcontractors, not-for-profits, and Levy team members
  • Regularly obtains feedback from clients and guests to improve operations
  • Maintains state, federal and business compliance, including but not limited to responsible alcohol service guidelines, safety and sanitation standards, and client requirements
  • Follows and enforces responsible alcohol service policies
  • Executes required daily reporting in a timely manner
  • Executes inventory controls
  • Provides operational planning to ensure adequate products and equipment are ordered for anticipated business levels
  • Forecasts and adequately schedules team members to meet operational needs and desired targets
  • Uses all performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team
  • Displays a positive attitude towards team members
  • Executes all menu requirements and fulfills all guest-specific service requests
  • Ensures all function setups and breakdowns are executed correctly, efficiently, and expeditiously
  • Achieves assigned budget goals
  • Uses all performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team members
  • Promotes a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale
  • Conducts regularly scheduled meetings to ensure lines of communication are open between management and team members
  • Interviews, hires, trains, and develops team members according to Levy guidelines
  • Displays a positive attitude towards team members
  • Other duties, as assigned

Job Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in a food and beverage operational position
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management is preferred
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and retail
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
