Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (others may be assigned)

  • Maintain customer goodwill by greeting and acknowledge all customers
  • Assist in keeping warehouse clean and orderly.
  • Processes cores, warranties, and new return merchandise as required.
  • Attends training as prescribed by management to maintain proficiency in his/her job description.
  • Uses dealership equipment and resources safely and proficiently.
  • Performs other tasks as required by Parts Manger.
  • Verify receiving documents.
  • Follow up on shortages and expedite by reporting to Parts Manager. Print invoices for pulled in stock parts for all lines

Check all parts and circle quantity on invoice to verify correct part and qty are pulled and in correct staging area.

Parts in the staging area that do not have an invoice should be put aside until all routes are checked.

Invoices that do not have parts in the staging area should be put aside until all routes are checked.

After checking all routes, check extra parts against invoices to verify if parts are in wrong staging area.

Parts without invoices should be PDA'd to find the invoice they are billed on and reprinted.

Invoices with missing parts that are stocked at the warehouse should be checked and pulled if in location. Unavailable parts should be taken off the invoice and invoice should be closed.

Parts not found must be brought to the attention of sales personnel.

Parts missing that are stocked off-site at dealership locations should be handled as follows.

Chrysler parts including Alfa : mark the invoice to show what is missing. Send a quote to Bond ST. so Timmy and Fred can check parts and pick for delivery.

Ford & Subaru : Mark invoice and leave with A.M. staff . A.m staff will call to check for missing parts so drivers can pick up at dealership locations

Inbound freight:

Packing lists should be printed before arrival of inbound freight.

All supersession's should be done before freight arrives.

Any parts not arriving due to allocation issues , restriction issues or no longer available issues should be brought to the attention of sales personnel.

Inbound freight should be scanned ,invoiced and put into their respective route locations.

Completed Invoices must be initialed in upper right hand corner to show who checked the parts and left in staging area.

Volvo parts are the responsibility of the night warehouse . Parts must be checked receipted and staged for delivery.

Any debris, garbage or empty boxes should be removed from the warehouse.

Empty totes should be left in the cages. Cages must be returned daily.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • No prior experience or training.
  • Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; ability to adapt to new programs.
