Levi Strauss & Co. is looking for a Senior Analyst, Technical Accounting to support the Global Controllership organization. You will manage responsibilities including researching and concluding on technical accounting matters and will be the main technical accounting and financial reporting resource. This position is targeting Bay Area candidates but is open to remote workers outside of the Bay Area. You will report into the Director of SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting.

About the Job

• Prepare analysis and memos to support quarterly and annual technical reviews including impairment (goodwill and intangibles, fixed assets), going concern, segment reporting and other required assessments.

• Prepare quarterly tracking of subsequent event activity and alert the controllership team of items for consideration.

• Assess unique and non-recurring transactions for US GAAP compliance.

• Track, research and prepare technical accounting analysis and assessments to help implement new accounting standards and other transformative finance projects.

• Help prepare quarterly SEC financial reporting including Forms 10-K/Q and earnings releases Form 8-K.

• Perform ad-hoc analysis.

• Implement process improvements and opportunities for simplification.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.

• CPA or CPA candidate.

• 4 years' experience in technical accounting, public accounting experience helpful.

• Knowledge of GAAP such as: accounting, disclosure and internal control dynamics.

• Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, formulas, etc.).

• Proficiency with Hyperion and SAP.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $77,300- $120,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
