Description

The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for training of team members and acting as a subject matter expert to lead problem solving initiatives within a department.

This role is a working member of the team and will have operational assignments as required.

About you :

• General knowledge of automated warehouse and inventory practices
• Comfortable working in a high volume, fast paced environment where priorities can shift quickly
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment
• Familiar with use of handheld RF scanner
• Stand and / or walk the majority of shift, plus ability to bend, squat, lift (up to 50 pounds), push, pull, reach with or without reasonable accommodation
• Assess problems by breaking down situations in an organized manner to generate solutions
• Ability to work effectively across various functions to address and resolve issues
• Energetic, positive, and helpful demeanor, along with good communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
• Demonstrated exemplary attendance and work habits
• Knowledgeable regarding lean manufacturing and change management (5S, Gemba, Kata, Muda, etc.)
• General knowledge of warehouse management systems; Manhattan WMOS preferred
