Leven Bakery & Cafe in Houston, TX is looking for a part-time dishwasher. We are located on 4191 Bellaire Blvd #125. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and hard-working.

• Works with the head chef to maintain the restaurant menu
• Maintains and verifies regular cleaning standards for the kitchen are being followed
• Identifies areas of potential food waste
• Performs quality control on a daily basis
• Prioritize organization, communication and cleanliness
• Assist in receiving, checking quality and organizing products
• Responsible for knowing prep production and being able to cook on the line
• Monitors kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and fire regulations

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

• Show up ready - for yourself, teammates and our customers
• Be a positive player in making Leven a place people love to contribute to
• Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed. Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized.
• Occasionally access high storage shelving with the use of step ladder
• Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Prepare food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner by the chef
• Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
• The ability to work in an environment around smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity and extreme cold
• Must be 18 or older

Dishwasher Qualifications / Skills:

• Customer service
• Planning and multi-tasking
• Self-motivated with a high energy level
• Verbal communication

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Hospitality-related kitchen experience preferred
• Current food handler’s card and other certification as required by federal/state/local law
