About the Program:
Level the Playing Field (LTPF) is a 2020 Carolina spin-out that prepares corporate America for the workforce of the future by recruiting minority, STEM undergraduate students and placing them into influential internships with major corporate and hospital partners (e.g. Merck, SAS, Eli Lilly, Microsoft). As a student development program, LTPF empowers young, diverse talent to assume leadership positions in the new age of innovation and growth by providing personal and professional development through a year-long, three-phase program. The organization currently operates in 6 historically black and primarily white universities across North Carolina and has graduated >40 students from the program. 100% of LTPF alumni are either working in full-time careers related to their fields or in graduate/medical school. LTPF partners with many companies and academic institutions, bridging the divide between underserved, low-income communities and professional opportunities, inspiring individuals to become local changemakers.
Position Expectations:
LTPF has an incredible opportunity available for a Program Coordinator (half-time transitioning to full-time) located in the Research Triangle Park/Chapel Hill area. The Program Coordinator will serve as the right-hand to the organization’s President/CEO, operating the programmatic curriculum that LTPF provides to its minority undergraduates and overseeing daily functions and administrative tasks that keep the program running smoothly.
