Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. Our private practice provides in-home or in-school services in Delaware, Montgomery and Chester county areas and we prioritize child-led, family centered therapy. You will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with communication and feeding disorders. This is an independent contractor position, so you would be able to choose your hours and the days/times you would like to see clients!
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities (we provide the evaluation materials).
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals
- Provide therapy services to patients with various communication disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, language, and feeding disorders
- Implement evidence-based treatment techniques and strategies to improve communication skills
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on communication strategies and techniques to facilitate progress outside of therapy sessions
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and swallowing disorders
- Experience working with pediatric populations is required
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professional boundaries
