Summary
The VP of Applied Technology & Operations is responsible for developing functional requirements and executing the digital business strategy associated for all commercial service lines. This leader will help position the business by building and operating an intelligent facilities maintenance platform to enable portfolio strategies. The VP will enable Lessen, our partners, and our clients to drive quantifiable performance and efficiency improvements in their property operations. This is a strategic role responsible for collaborating with multiple, cross-functional stakeholders across Product Development, Operations, Accounts, Finance, Sales & Marketing, and Clients.
The VP of Applied Technology & Operations will report to the SVP of Applied Technology & Operations.
What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with Product Development to communicate the primitive needs, establish scope, roadmaps, and the right deliverables the first time without incurring repetitive iterations
• Work with Marketing to develop and enhance how we communicate applied technologies
• Proven ability to simultaneously lead multiple cross functional teams
• Superior ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively deliver in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Ability a identify stakeholders, build relationships, and influence others to get work done
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, including C-level, in both technical and business terms
• Experience in corporate and/or customer support operations
• Travel requirements: up to 40% as required to meet goals & objectives

You Should Have:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering; MBA preferred
• 15 years of experience in facilities management
• 5 years of experience in commercial real estate
• Experience in product development desired
• Super user experience with FM software applications desired
• Digital technology monitoring experience desired
• Experience with smart building development, building technologies and deployment desired
• Experience in mission critical facilities and other key industries such as Healthcare, Industrial, Education, Retail, and Financial
• Ability to apply systems-thinking to guide inputs into outputs through tools and techniques
• Ability to project manage people, processes, and technology
• Ability to interpret data analytics in the context of properties and assets into operational intelligence
• Ability to support the development of enhanced software techniques via AI and a traditional network operating center
• Continuously identify operational and product opportunities to improve experience, productivity, mitigate risk, and focus resourcesin terms of people, budgets, and strategy
• Ability to collaborate with C-Level executives in humble confidence
• Strong communication skills - convert technical matters into business terms
