POSITION SUMMARY:

The Accounts Receivable & Credit Specialist duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of invoicing, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue and cash flow via customer credit management and verifying and posting cash receipts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

· Leverage the Bectran credit platform to review/monitor credit application status and process

· Facilitate payment of invoices due via automatic dunning process and contacting clients directly

· Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues

· Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

· Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data

· Generate accounts receivable reports detailing customer account status

· Other special projects or necessary duties as required for harmonious business and working relationships.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

These are the primary internal and external constituents an individual works with and/or supports on a regular basis in performing the essential duties and responsibilities of their role:

· Manager, Accounts Receivable

· Accounting and Finance Team Members

· Internal Sales Team

· Customers and Brokers

· Supply Chain including Customer Service and Logistics

· Information Technology

· Financial counterparts in all of the Lesaffre Affiliated Companies

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education, Experience, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

· Degree from a two or four year College or University; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

· Working knowledge of personal computers, including the Windows operating system.

· Proficiency in desktop software applications such as Microsoft Office (spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, project management).

· Working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Oracle & SAP preferred, or another large ERP system).

· Knowledge of Salesforce.com.

· Experience with Internet sites, such as customer portals.

· Experience with other business software including CRM tools (Sales Force), Automation & Interface Tools, Credit Software (Bectran), and other applications deemed necessary to perform the essential functions.

TRAVEL

Up to 5% travel may be required for attending conferences or sales meetings. Overnight travel by road and/or air, may be necessary, as well as possible International travel.

Language Skills

· English proficiency required; second language a plus – Spanish or French preferred.

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

· Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

· Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

· Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
