Overview
Under supervision provides exemplary customer service throughout the entirety of the client’s event. The Server provides table service to clients by taking orders for food and beverages, delivering orders to the table, and ensuring that patrons have a pleasant experience. Must have a flexible schedule. Schedule varies on nights, weekends and holidays.

KEY FUNCTIONS

• Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to food and beverage safety
• Greets customers as they are seated at the table; ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided
• Prepares, cooks and serves food
• Participates in maintaining clean dining and service areas; assists with busing tables as needed
• Takes measures to prevent food waste
• Answers questions regarding the menu
• Takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen
• Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers
• Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers’ satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen
• Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals
• Operates a variety of kitchen/serving utensils and supplies while exercising care and safety in the use of all equipment
• Assists in event set up and breakdown as needed
• Adhere to venue and vendor strict time schedules
• Adheres to all Company policies, procedures and standards set by the Company
• Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES

• Knowledgeable of DHEC, ServSafe and SC laws and regulations
• Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to complete ServSafe training
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be 18 years old
• Event experience preferred
• ServSafe Food Handler Certification; will train
• Current CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training; will train

No supervisory responsibilities

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be physically able to operate a variety of kitchen appliances, equipment and utensils, etc. Must be able to exert up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work; must be able to remain on feet for extended periods of time, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and lift/carry weights of up to twenty-five pounds.
