A well-established Plaintiffs' personal injury and first-party insurance practice law firm is seeking two experienced paralegals to manage all aspects of a diverse case load from intake and pre-suit negotiation until filing complaint through trial.
We are looking for someone who wants to be part of our team for all of the important work and clients that we have. The perfect candidate will be someone who is looking to work with us long term and will become an intergal part of our office and practice. This person will be paid accordingly and rewarded with a bonus structure dependant on overall performance. Must be willing to come in and hit the ground running with clients and cases.
Qualifications:
All applicants should have a minimum of 4-10 years plus experience in a personal injury or first-party insurance firm and must have experience working in various Courts’ electronic filing systems. It is essential to be a highly organized, self-motivated individual with multi-tasking skills, and a strong self-directed work ethic. Excellent communication, writing skills and attention to detail are a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of applications including Word, Excel and Outlook required. Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities:
Be able to prepare all legal documents associated with a case from the onset of filing of complaints with the Court to the settlement of litigation including all discovery documents, motions, settlement statements and correspondence associated with the development of a file. Ability to perform new client intakes and ongoing proactive and compassionate client management and oversight throughout the lifespan of the case. Create and maintain case files ensuring all elements are prepared, tracked and updated accurately meeting all relevant deadlines. Must be willing and able to work in group and collaborative environment. Assist team members and attorneys as needed. This a collegial environment and ability to work in a team is a must.
