LER TechForce is Hiring a Cable Technician Near Ann Arbor, MI

What you will be doing:
Cable Technician to install and repair commercial telecom networks. Primary duties include installing inspecting, and troubleshooting cable equipment, and setting up Internet networks. Other duties include:

  • Installing data and voice cables for Commercial customers
  • Installing network cabinets and racks
  • Upgrading existing cable Internet systems
  • Performing cable system maintenance

What you'll need to be successful:
Essential:

  • Preferred: Some experience in electrical cable repair/installation/troubleshooting. Experience should include working with fiber optics and copper data cabling.
  • Experience in customer service, information technology, computer repair, or electronics is a plus.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent. Any certifications are a plus:
  • Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI) certification
  • BICSI Installer certification
  • Aerial and Scissor lift certifications
  • Knowledge of basic electronics
  • Strong understanding of mathematics and science
  • Ability to move equipment up to 75 pounds
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • Willingness to work as a team player
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic
