Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist ophthalmologists in providing eye care services to patients.
Duties:
- Conduct preliminary patient screenings
- Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, lensometry, and tonometry
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary equipment
- Assist with minor surgical procedures
- Educate patients on eye care procedures and medications
- Maintain accurate patient records
Requirements:
- Experience in Ophthalmology or related field preferred
- Knowledge of medical billing and coding
- Familiarity with pediatric eye care
- Proficiency in optical sales and products
- Ability to maintain medical records accurately
- Understanding of aseptic techniques in a medical setting

*This position requires travel between two offices throughout the work week, one in Wilsonville and one in Newberg.
