About the Barista Role:
Lenora baristas are responsible for creating a welcoming and hospitable environment for all guests. They demonstrate superior coffee knowledge on all menu items. Lenora Baristas and Café Employees actively participate in a teamwork-centered dynamic with their co-workers and management to ensure a successful service each shift. Ideally, we are looking for Baristas who also have experience in traditional FOH service roles and can seamlessly transition into lunch service.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure food and drinks are served in compliance with house specifications as well as health and safety regulations
• Brewing coffee and espresso beverages
• Keep workspaces clean and sanitized at all times, including guest seating areas
• Ensure that guest self-service stations remain stocked throughout the morning with paper products and beverage accouterments
• Responsible for completing prep list to prepare for service
• Monitor restaurant equipment and verify proper functioning. Communicate any and all issues to the Café Manager
• Able to work at high levels of execution in a fast-paced environment
• Close down café counter service and prepare for dine-in lunch service to start daily at 11 am
• Take on additional responsibilities as requested

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• 1-2 years in a prior barista role strongly preferred
• Extensive experience in coffee service preferred
• Experience in full-service FOH server/bartender roles preferred
• Positive attitude and professionalism required
• Skilled at maintaining effective communication with staff, peers, and upper management
