Job Description

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the enterprise global network within the organization. May act as technical liaison with manufacturers’ technical and service personnel regarding purchased or leased hardware and software. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the network infrastructure, which includes routers, switches, wireless, and other network devices. You will ensure the organization has a reliable and secure network infrastructure to support daily business operations. You must possess strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise in networking protocols & technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively with other IT professionals. You will mentor, lead, and train your fellow network engineers and administrators.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience and/or industry certifications can be accepted.
• 8 years of network administration with at least 5 years of network solution design and engineering.
• Solid analytical, interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Experience with network monitoring, diagnostics & packet tracing tools.
• Must be able to design and implement networks that meet business requirements.
• Requires knowledge of Cisco centric LAN, WAN and data center hardware and architecture.
• Strong experience with various routing protocols; including EIGRP, OSPF and BGP.
• Basic knowledge of firewalls and security of a large-scale network.
• Basic knowledge of SD-WAN terminology and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with wireless network solutions.
• Know and understand information technology industry trends, emerging technologies and show an ability to relate them to the company and its objectives.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Able to travel up to 25%.
• Cisco and Aruba certifications preferred.

Example of daily tasks:

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues that may arise.
• Implement security measures to protect the network infrastructure from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network solutions with other systems, such as servers or storage devices.
• Install and configure network equipment and software, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
• Conduct regular network assessments to identify areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
• Document network designs, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Design and plan network upgrades or expansions based on the organization's requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, assisting them with network-related issues.
• Staying up to date with the latest networking technologies and industry trends to propose innovative solutions.
