Job Description

WHY YOU SHOULD INTERN WITH LENNOX During your time with Lennox, you will be given real-world projects and will partner with our business leaders to accomplish mission critical goals. We will look to YOU to help promote innovation, creativity and excellence in everything we do. As an intern you will be invited to attend lunch and learns to discover different business segments within the organization. Additionally, you will be invited to participate in fun activities with other interns, management and executives. You will get to immerse yourself in our culture, all the while learning unique skills and developing yourself as a professional. High preforming interns may be given opportunities to join Lennox as a full-time associate upon their graduation.

Students who will be relocating during their internship / co-op, will have their travel expenses reimbursed along with being eligible for a housing allowance.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As an Advanced Technology intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience working on projects focused on planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. You’ll be partnering with Senior Leaders and working cross-functionally to recommend modifications to components and testing procedures. In addition, you will be able to help prepare proposals and cost estimates based on test results and numerical data. An internship with us will reveal to you the ‘ins-and-outs’ of this industry!

This position is located at our premier Product Development & Research (PD&R) facility in Carrollton, TX. Working on new product initiatives provides a large opportunity to innovate intellectual properties. As of October 2019, PD&R is approaching upon 700 patents issued. Lennox International (LII) has rewarding practices for engineers who bring creativity and innovation to our products. As such our organization has continued to grow as the demand for this technology grows in the market.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Students pursing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field at an accredited college or university.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel usage required
