Lending is Hiring a VP, Credit Risk Management Near Kennesaw, GA

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for developing credit and pricing strategies through sophisticated analytical methods for consumer and commercial lending portfolios. Manage end-to-end engagements from conception to analytics and subsequent rollout. Supports business verticals in optimizing approval rates, take rates, and unit economics, through development and implementation of innovative credit and pricing strategies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead key channels from risk perspective and conduct sophisticated analytics to build best-in-class credit and pricing strategies for unsecured credit portfolios. These strategies will enable real-time lending decisions for hundreds of thousands of borrowers every month.
  • Work with finance, capital markets team, lenders, and institutional investors to provide update on credit performance and deliver targeted risk adjusted returns.
  • Leverage multiple complex data sources such as credit bureau information, customer supplied information, and alternative data sources at large scale to build sophisticated credit and verification strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering and operations teams to implement analytical solutions into production.
  • Lead teams to diagnose credit performance trends, and drive loss mitigation and pricing decisions, enabling swift business decisions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance, etc.) preferred.
    • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 10 years of credit risk management experience.
    • Experience working in a Bank or FinTech organization is preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of consumer credit risk trends and credit risk and/or pricing analytics.
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills with prior experience leveraging large and complex datasets for driving business decisions.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
    • Advanced in Excel and PowerPoint.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYThis position is responsible for the direct supervision of designated employees in the Risk department.

WORK ENVIRONMENTWhile performing the logistics duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moderate noises such as computers, printers, and other light traffic noise in an office setting.

This role is in-office. Remote work may be performed from a pre-approved location, as arranged, and scheduled by team management and approved by department leadership.
